Despite the fact that I work my ASS off to submit quality work... things don't quite turn out as they should. Let me explain. In my Computer Graphics class, we had that project (link) and I got a B. I know I may be over-whining, but if you compare this project with all the others in my class... well.... 'nuff said. And what bugs me the most is that my teacher told me in private that "I'm too good", "I'm not struggling enough" and if I were less talented he would have given me an A+++, but coming from me, its just B work. Its my first time with Illustrator! Hard-work is to be compensated! Stupidpieceofmotherfuckingshitasswipe! Oh well. I guess it's just depressing really because all my other teachers say the same thing. I'm getting Bs because the work on my own personal level is just a B.
I hardly get any sleep as it is. I guess in order for me to get that A I so terribly crave, I must not sleep at all. Either that, or accept the fact that a curse is upon me because of this "talent". I'm not boasting. I'm sad about it. So, mediocre artist I am!
Hugs to everyone. Hope you're all un-mediocre

You just have to deal with certain teachers, don't let them bring you down. I have one teacher, this semester, that is very harsh in his grading. I know I'm a great writer, but I have to struggle in his class but I always have a goal (with every essay I write for him) that I'll PROVE to him I'm a great writer. I've gotten one A+, I was nearly jumping up in joy. I'm sure things will get better for you
You'll kick some serious ass!

woman...woman, woman, woman...
i'm kinda surprised ken gave you a B...(blame it on kressen, btw, as ken told me kressen told him he doesn't grade hard enough!
but at the same time...professors can't give out A's like they are halloween candy (or hamda's sushi
however, they should still grade within reason (a B is not reason, we both know that teehee)
i might add that, though you are undeniably talented and the unrivalled hardest worker at AUD, this is his way of pushing you to realize your full potential. let me clarify that: your full potential does NOT mean working your hardest. sometimes it means being crazy, being playful and not being so stringent with the work...lack of control...think of when you draw with ink. to control it you have to let it control you. you have to experiment and take risks...i did my best project by randomly turning michelle's face blue. jst for fun...and i did great.
i'm not advocating less work. i'm advocating more play within the work. do you see what i mean?
babe, at the end of the day, you will get that A. believe me. professors always compare students when they are grading, they just curve the grade naturally...but forget about that. if you look into yourself more..that you have that element of madness (you seem to be a rather sober artist). you NEED to be playful and crazy...loosen up
i know you can do it woman...
go get 'em, sniper!
